What is an Organization
WHAT IS
AN ORGANIZATION
The organization define has “The
process of organizing, planning and controlling resources within an entity by
achieving its overall aim and objectives. The management of the organization
must be fair in order to make decision and solve problems in order to effective
and efficient manner”.
Planning
Planning is a management function that involves
setting goals and determining step moves to achieve these goals. Setup is an
action process that simply means that management must be aware of the
organization's main critical contingencies to its economic conditions,
competitors and customers. In addition, they should try to predict the future
conditions.
After evaluating different approaches, they
should decide the best steps to reach their set goals and objectives.
Organizing
Organizing is a management function that
involves the development of organizational structure and allocating human
resources to accomplish it’s set goals and objectives. Usually it is
represented by an organizational chart that provides the work order chain of
command in the organization. organizing also involves to design each individuals
job role of the organization.
Recently, many organizations have attempted to
balance the need for professional competence and the need for workers to have
jobs that differ from independence. Many jobs are now established based on
principles such as empowerment, job enrichment and teamwork.
Leading
Leadership involves the sources of social
and informal influence that you use to encourage actions by others. If leaders
are effective managers, their subordinates will be more interested in achieving
the goals and objectives of an organization.
Scientific behavior has greatly contributed
to the understanding of this leadership function; Leaders must first understand
their subordinate’s personality, values, attitudes and feelings.
Controlling
Controlling consists of three
steps, which follows as:
1. 1. Establishing
performance standards
2. 2. Comparing actual
performance against standards
3. 3. Taking corrective
action when necessary.
Effective control requires reality in plans,
planning provide significant standards or performance targets. Controlling also
requires a clear understanding of where responsibility lies for shortcomings
from standards. The two traditional methods of controlling techniques are
budget audits and performance audits.
Conclusion
The management function, planning, organizing,
leading and controlling are generally considered to be the best way to describe
management jobs and the best way to disseminate the accumulation skills of
leadership studies. Although there has been a dramatic change in the situation
facing the managers in the organization and the tools used to carry out their
responsibilities through these key functions.
